Leaders are not born. They’re built.

I’ve come across quite a few strong leaders in my life, and I’ve also come across a lot of weak leaders.

Today, I want to take a look at seven of the most attractive traits leaders can possess.

1/ They rise to the occasion

Leaders are often met with intense, uncomfortable, and undesirable situations.

Despite feelings of aversion, strong leaders will step up with as much confidence as they can so they can bring about solutions.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. comes to mind as an example.

During a time when racial tension was at a high in the United States, and when he recognized the need to fight for Civil Rights, Rev. Dr. King didn’t sit around twiddling his thumbs saying to himself, “Well, someone ought to step forward and do something about this.”

No!

Instead, he stepped to the plate to handle the difficult situation, and ultimately it brought about groundbreaking legislation in the United States.

2/ They keep an open-door policy

The leaders who hang out in their ivory towers and don’t make time for the people whose lives their decisions…
