Why I Stopped Posting on Twitter

After posting 18,000 times on Elon’s social media madhouse, I decided to call it quits.

In June 2023, I started posting on Twitter. At that time, I didn’t even know what a personal brand was.

Within a week of starting on Twitter, I learned what it was… and more importantly, I learned about the power of personal branding.

When I first started posting, it was because I wanted to drive traffic to my website where I offered copywriting and content writing services.

Then I realized my Twitter profile could serve as a landing page, and I could link it to a very basic sales page where I could sell visitors on my services.

Simple, right?

I kept posting and engaging and my account grew. I went from 0 to 100 in 22 days, and hit 1,000 followers only a few months into my Twitter journey.

I met some incredible people who were building cool businesses, sharing fresh insights, and cheering me on as I pursued my goals.

It was inspiring to see so many people in the same place with similar ambitions. The encouraging community impressed me, and it’s one of the reasons I stayed around as long as I did.
